Islamic counselling in promoting psychological well-being in an individual. Its integrated approach is applied in the counselling session involving an individual, allowing the counsellor to play a better role and strive to help and assist clients in the best possible manner. Counsellors/ Asatizah with good personalities will keep the trust and try their best to be a helping hand.
Usually, an individual will only seek help when they cannot solve their issues, which prevents them from performing their normal functions in life. To be effective, counsellors should exhibit generic characteristics such as psychological health, self-awareness, open-mindedness, empathy, unconditional positive regard, genuineness and congruence, non-judgemental, cultural sensitivity and competence (Rassool, 2016).
We offer a non-judgemental and confidential space for our clients to heal and grow. We have significant experience and specialisation in tackling behaviour or development issues, marital and others, including couples therapy and relationship or integrative counselling. The integrative approach refers to the infusion of individual needs - integrating the affective, behavioural, cognitive, and physiological systems and addressing social and spiritual aspects.
Lastly, clients are encouraged to take responsibility for their thoughts, feelings, and actions. Our therapy process empowers them to make choices and changes that align with their values and goals.
Couple therapy, also known as couples counselling or marriage counselling, is a form of psychotherapy designed to help partners improve their relationship, enhance communication, and resolve conflicts. It provides a safe and neutral space where partners can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in the presence of a trained therapist.
